“ This foodie went shopping for a new dining experience at a locally owned restaurant and stumbled upon Quisqueya Family Restaurant in Killeen. Upon walking in I was promptly greeted by the owner, Mr. David. I told him i was a first timer. He immediately began sharing the menu of the day, a decadent cuisine drawing inspiration from his hometown in the Dominican Republic. He offered me a sampling platter filled with some amazing Oxtail and delicious Chicken, both resting in their own bed of pallet tantalizing sauces. Combined with Spanish Rice and Beans, Plantains, and a Side Salad, I was immediately drawn in on the first bite. With each subsequent taste, I found myself immersed wonderful island experience, as Caribbean music rained down from the ceiling’s speakers and the warmth of the decor set the stage. Quisqueya’s establish is small but mighty, and definitely worth your dining experience. If you eat there once you will return, I know I did!! Goat is on the menu today! ”
